Midwest Movement started in 1999 as a means to promote independent music in the midwest.

Over the years, MWM has evolved and now operates in the areas of promotion, management, development, and even as a small independent record label.

Each artist has different needs and goals and is at a different stage in their career, so what we do for each artist varies. Sometimes we’re just working on development things, other times it’s the whole package. Ultimately, the goal is to help the artist get to the level they want to be at.

We’ve put out a number of records over the years, the most recent being For Blood’s “From The Ashes”, which was our 25th release.

A number of our artists have gone on to land significant record deals: American Head Charge (American), Devilinside (Now Or Never/Abacus), Align (33rd Street/Iguana), Index Case (No Name/Elektra and Mortal/Universal), Destrophy (Victory), and Sunset Black (Bieler Bros./MCA).

The current roster of bands we’re working with includes: Attention, Johnnyrook, For Blood, Index Case, Nik Sorak & The Dead Wait, and In A Crowded Room (studio project only).

Some of the bands we’ve worked with in the past include: The Sky & The Execution, Align, White Knuckle Trip, Dayfeed, American Head Charge, Devilinside, Destrophy, Bloodwilltell, Secretly Drowning, Enola Grey, Nik Sorak, Sunset Black, Redoverlunar, 35″ Mudder, Feathers Are Beautiful, Marcato, Nuisance, and more.

2009 will see new music from all of the bands we are working with, as well as a very special 10th anniversary release and event near the end of the year.
